My first car. I was tired of asking to borrow Mom's ugly orange Ford Pinto to go out on dates! Basic transportation to HS, then College and my jobs at Chuck-E-Cheese then Pay-N-Save... and yeah, the occasional date!

Summer after high school, many of my buddies were riding motorcycles, so I couldn't be left out. I forget if my brother sold this or gave this to me. Side note: My brother is kinda famous in the Seattle as an all-around "motorcycle" guy. It was a fun summer, and I commuted to university with this through the fall, but when it got icy, I hung up my helmet. Also, almost all of my buddies had crashed by then, I wanted to avoid that fate! A fun summer.

Got a good job out of college, and it was time to move up the ride ladder. I bought my first brand-new car in August 1991. It cost about $13,000. I consciously bought American, and Saturn was supposed to be GM's import killer. This car was solid and sporty. Not QUITE up to Japanese car standards, it had a couple annoying rattles. Overall, I LOVED this car. Owned it for about 9 years.
